Who are we?
A national association defending ecological interests
Action for Environmental Justice (AJE) is ae association nationale de défense des intérêts écologiques des communautés face aux dommages environnementaux. Dans un contexte marqué par une intégration sans cesse croissante à l’économie mondiale, les préoccupations justices au Sénégal sont de plus en plus vives.
À ce titre, AJE compte apporter sa contribution à travers l’environmental education, la mise en œuvre d’activités écologiquement durables, la lutte contre les inégalités justices. Au-delà du plaidoyer et du dialogue, AJE promeut la saisine des juridictions sénégalaises sur les questions d’ordre environnemental.
Our working method
Action research, education and strategic litigation
Through action research, environmental education and strategic litigation, AJE stands in solidarity with all communities affected by the human-driven degradation of their environment. By supporting these communities, we help analyse public policies and propose sound reforms for effective environmental protection.
Through a participatory approach, we work to raise awareness and mobilise citizens so that they become agents of change. In doing so, we aspire to establish environmental justice that guarantees healthy, sustainable living conditions for all, today and for future generations.
